Cuddles funds a range of specialist equipment to support babies and their families during their neonatal journey. This includes Zaky Hugs, which provide comfort when parents and carers can't be at the cot side, breast pumps to support feeding, and other essential items that help improve care and comfort.

A weekly group for babies, children and families who have received care at the Special Care Baby Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and Ysbyty Gwynedd. It's a chance to enjoy a hot drink, chat with other families, and let little ones play together. We also organise occasional walks and family activities.

Having a baby in neonatal care is challenging in many ways. Cuddles provides practical support to help families remain close to their baby during their neonatal journey. This can include accommodation for parents if they live far away from the hospital, daily food vouchers for parents and carers while on the unit, and assistance with traveling to and from the hospital.

As part of our commitment to supporting families beyond the neonatal unit, Cuddles funded training for three members off staff to become qualified Baby Massage Instructors. The sessions provide a relaxed and welcoming space where parents and carers can learn gentle massage techniques, strengthen their bond with their baby and connect with other families.
